Harris County Community Services Department (HCCSD) has released the PY2022 Annual Action Plan Survey to receive feedback on the needs of the Harris County communities. The link to the survey has been posted on HCCSD’s social media platforms, HCCSD’s Funding Opportunities webpage, and emailed to over 500 Harris County community residents and/or stakeholders. The PY2022 AAP Survey will be available until September 30, 2021. The results will be continually updated until the end of September 2021 and displayed until December, 2021. This page will give viewers a snapshot of what has been identified as the greatest need in the varying Harris County communities. The PY2022 Annual Action Plan survey was designed to inform Harris County Community Services Department on deciding which projects to recommend during the Program Year 2022 that will address the identified needs of the community and satisfy the Measurable Objectives in our 2019 – 20123 Consolidated Plan. As of now, the majority of the respondents have been identified as residents of Harris County (51%). Non-profit businesses accounted for 34.3% of received responses and For-profit business accounted for 8.6% of received responses. Thus far, the survey results have identified a need in five critical areas: Infrastructure, Affordable Housing, Public Services, Homeless Services and Economic Development. 80% of respondents indicated major/minor issues with drainage systems
95% of respondents indicated improvements are needed to the neighborhood streets
47% of respondents indicated neighborhood sidewalks are need of repair
60% of respondents indicated that major/minor issues with abandoned/dilapidated structures
