For many, you have a job. You work hard. But unforeseen circumstances can make it hard to make all ends meet.  That is where the Harris County Community Services Department may be able to help.

Assistance is subject to available funding.  In the case of utility assistance, CSD partners with area utility providers who are able to make a limited amount of funds available to help people in need.

Rental Assistance

Harris County residents work hard; but, from time-to-time, unforeseen circumstances may make it difficult to take care of the bare necessities.

Harris County Community Services Department is constantly working with local, federal, state and other agencies to identify funds for those who may have a one-time issue making rental or mortgage payments. 

Funding can be scarce; however, we invite you to apply in the event we may be able to help. 

Bereavement Services

The mission of the Harris County Bereavement Program is to ensure that all deceased paupers who die in Harris County have access to a simple and dignified funeral service and burial.  For additional information, please contact the Bereavement Program at (713) 696-1952.
